At DeRoyal's two "fab labs,"
body measurements are entered into a
Tracer CAD system by either
keyboarding the data or by scanning a
casted mold of the patient.

For
a custom spinal orthosis or functional knee brace to fit
perfectly, special technology must be used during the
measurement and production processes.
From
the Tracer CAD system, they are sent
electronically to either the Vorum
carver or the PDI carver, which
precision cuts a mold to form a hard
plastic shell, which is then
"finished" with appropriate
grinding, sanding, strapping, and
hardware.
DeRoyal's
large mold inventory of male and
female forms represents years of
experience in custom spinal orthoses.
This shortens brace production time - making
overnight service for any
custom brace a reality.
