Machine Operator

Department:  DeRoyal Processing Center
Location(s):  New Tazewell, TN (Temporary)
Shift:  1st Shift (MON-FRI) 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:  THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY A TEMPORARY POSITION. We are seeking entry level applicants to join our manufacturing production team on a temporary basis. (Approx 6-12 weeks) Complete assembly process and initial packaging. Read and follow oral and/or written directions; program machines accurately with required data. Complete paperwork concerning units assembled or packaged. Position parts according to knowledge of units being assembled. Check quantities, lengths, colors and material types against documentation; record discrepancies. Isolate defective goods and returns for rework or correct parts. Examine finished product to ensure that it meets quality standards. Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements.

Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent (GED); or less than high school education with one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Material Handler III

Department:  DeRoyal Distribution Center

Shift:  1st Shift (MON-FRI) 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:  Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard or work site. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Operates forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, record shortages.Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard or work site. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Quality Engineer

Department:  Research and Development
Location(s):  Powell, TN

Responsibilities:  • Develops, applies, and maintains quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products • Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer • Designs and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection including but not limited to Design/Process FMEA and Process Verification/Validation. • Develops, promotes, and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports • Completes Inspection Plans in conjunction with Project Planning and in coordination with Project Management • Performs in process and final inspections on customer ordered projects as necessary • Develops, executes and analyzes quality-reporting measures • Works with Quality Assurance group to initiate, organize, and monitor Corrective Actions, assists to evaluate and determine Root Cause and Corrective Action Plans • Reports to management and customers on quality issues, trends and losses, utilizing SPC, Pareto charts, etc. • Maintains an understanding of applicable ISO, ASTM and similar quality and process standards; explains same to an audience of varying degrees of exposure to these standards • Participates in internal and external quality audits • Initiates Non-Conformance Reports while ensuring accuracy of data and the process, including closure

Requirements:  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent (or Associate’s degree in these fields plus minimum 7 years industrial experience). • Must have broad knowledge and extensive application of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control, of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation. • Must have proven positive leadership, mentoring and trainer experience. • Must have strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases. • Lean Manufacturing experience, including six sigma, 5S and Kaizen experience highly desired.

AI Fabrication Technician

QA Manager

Department:  Quality Assurance
Location(s):  Tazewell, TN

Responsibilities:  Serves as Management Representative with responsibility to ensure that the quality system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the applicable standards. Interacts with all internal DeRoyal departments regarding various requirements with the Quality System. Audits production facilities to ensure compliance with applicable standards: ISO, QSR, MDD, Canadian Requirements & GMPs. Participates in corporate directed internal audits as part of audit team. Ensures corrective and preventive actions for internal and external audit findings are implemented. Conducts corrective and preventive action meetings at plants. Prepares and presents information for the meetings. Reviews and evaluates complaint reports and investigation process for the complaint. Communicates with customer and/or sales representative regarding corrective and preventive actions taken on reported complaints. Works with Regulatory Affairs on Vendor and DeRoyal initiated recalls to determine products affected, customers affected and implements appropriate corrective and preventive actions. Conducts training on Quality System procedures and tasks. Conducts DeRoyal New Hire training on Complaint Handling and QA/RA Department personnel. Works closely with Plant Management and Quality Control staff to ensure Quality System is effective and implemented. Manages the document control for the applicable division and/or plants. Develops procedures and ensures compliance necessary for Quality System for compliance with applicable standards and regulations for the appropriate divisions. Conducts Management Review meetings for divisional level reviews. Participates in Design Control Review meetings. Works with Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Supply Chain Management & Plant Management on development of new products or changing of existing products (including research on testing, raw materials, use of product, applicable regulations, etc.) Ensures that necessary validations are conducted on new products and significant changes to products as appropriate. Develops test methods as required and ensures necessary testing is completed: Bioburden, sterility, residual, environmental, package integrity, etc. Analyzes statistical data on topics of interest.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university required, or minimum 8 years minimum relevant experience required. Ability to speak Spanish a plus. This position will require travel.
