After noticing many deteriorating plaster casts, a young pharmaceutical salesman in Tennessee has an idea for an orthopedic cast boot. 

That salesman is the DeRoyal founder, Pete DeBusk.

’80s
Throughout the ‘80s, DeRoyal initiates its first major physical expansion with construction in New Tazewell, TN… now the largest manufacturing campus.

DeRoyal is the first company in the medical industry to offer custom procedural trays on a just-in-time basis.

Throughout the early 1990s, DeRoyal develops and introduces innovative products and global initiatives, as well as a new division of medical products: wound care.

Several expansions through acquired factories and companies establish DeRoyal as an international company.
